Nexus Impact Center serves to unite, inspire and resource people to create impact-driven business models.  The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are a useful way to align for-profits, government, nonprofits and grantors towards a common goal.

​Dora is an award-winning researcher and international speaker who educates and inspires audiences on how to grow their social impact.  

Using the principles of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), Dora has worked with small businesses, Fortune 100 companies and even the United Nations as they leverage business models to create sustainable revenue sources and profound social outcomes.

Yalonda is the President of Diversity Intitiatives for Engage Mentoring where she leads the national expansion of diversity-focused mentoring and leadership programs for companies, universities 

and nonprofit organizations.  Yalonda is a speaker, an author and also the CEO of her own company, "Just Say It" which places an emphasis on women and girls empowerment.

Dr. Alicia McKoy | CEO, Peak Mind

​Alicia has studied neuropsychology and interviewed numerous scientists, therapists, and corporate coaches to determine the best way to transform our workplaces for the better. Her work meets at the intersection of disrupting stress in the workplace and strengthening social emotional coping skills and techniques through easy and effective action steps.

Allen McClendon | Community Affairs Director, OneAmerica

​Allen is a well established professional specializing in corporate and community partnership development.  In recent years he has focused mainly on corporate fundraising with a strong connection to local and national brands. 

David Bates | Pathways Together, Inc.

Born in Burundi, Central Africa, David grew up between many tribal and civil wars, and has continued to live his entire life on the frontlines of human needs.  David is the founder of the nonprofit "PathWays Together" which provide help and support for the African communities of Indianapolis.

Kristin Garvey | Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA), Director of Homeless Services

Kristin leads the agency’s Homeless-focused programming.  IHCDA aims to reduce the number of people experiencing homelessness by connecting them to permanent housing and by ensuring that homelessness, when experienced, is rare, brief, and non-recurring.  She is also an adjunct professor of nonprofit and community leadership at the University of Indianapolis and serves on the steering committee for the Race and Cultural Relations Leadership Network for Greater Indianapolis.

Peyton currently serves as the VP of Brand Management at Mojo Up Marketing + Media. He is a proud graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, 

where he earned degrees in Business Management and Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Environmental Justice. Peyton has helped build many brands, having overseen marketing strategy, graphic design, video production, and more, including assisting in creating regional sustainability marketing campaigns for enterprise clients.

Allyson Mitchell | Vice President of Sustainability, Mobile reCell

Allyson is a sustainability expert who has spent more than a decade working to advance the circular economy in Indiana. Responsible for developing and implementing Mobile reCell’s sustainability initiatives, Allyson is committed to forming strategic partnerships to drive success and ensure environmentally and socially responsible operation. She leverages her diverse background in public policy and design to advance environmental legislation and transition Indiana to a circular economy. 

Adam Velazquez | Executive Director, Groundwork Indy

Adam Velazquez has been the Executive Director at Groundwork Indy since April 2021. His passion for restorative environmental and social justice and experience in the mental health community have made him an excellent addition to Groundwork Indy.

Sam Glanders | President, Sage LLC

Same Glanders leads SAGE, a Service-Disable Veteran Owned Small Business that provides specialty contracting to complete innovative remediation services for addressing contaminated sites.  Being a proud member of the Special Forces community,  Sam embraces the power of the individual & the team. SAGE knows that focused teams accomplish huge missions.
